About this independent tour

This is a private itinerary including a private transfers and local English-speaking tour guides for excursions and sightseeing. The itinerary is completely flexible, so you can choose your number of nights, change hotel category, add excursions and extend your holiday. There is an option of including meals wherever desired. Please fill the form at the end of the itinerary for any changes and tailor the tour according to your need basis.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1

Welcome to Delhi

  • You will arrive at Delhi’s International Airport. Following customs, immigration formalities and baggage collection, a representative will meet you as you exit after which you would be transferred to your hotel.
  • Amidst the fast spiralling skyscrapers the remnants of a bygone time in the form of its many monuments stand as silent reminders to the region’s ancient legacy.
  • The first impressions for any visitor traveling in from the airport are of a specious , garden city, tree-lined with a number of beautiful parks. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2

In Delhi

  • After breakfast at the hotel, you will proceed for a full day city tour of Old & New Delhi.
  • You will first visit Old Delhi. The tour will begin with a visit to Raj Ghat, a simple memorial to Mahatma Gandhi; drive past the Red Fort continuing to the Jama Masjid by bicycle rickshaw.
  • After visiting Old Delhi, you will be driven to New Delhi, which reflects the legacy the British left behind. The division in the walled city and New Delhi also marks the division in the life-styles.
  • The tour to Imperial Delhi will include a visit to the QutubMinar, the tallest stone tower in India. Qutub-ud-din Aibak started it in 1199. Return to your hotel after the tour. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3

Delhi - Agra

  • After the buffet breakfast, you will be driven from Delhi to Agra (204 KMS/ 04 Hours). Upon arrival check-in at hotel
  • Agra in terms of ambiance is still associated with its Mughal period. The Mughals besides being great rulers were also great builders and they preserved their best architectural wonders for Agra & its neighbourhood.
  • In the afternoon, you will proceed for tour of the TajMahal.
  • The Taj Mahal is everything that has been said about it and more.
  • Continue to visit the Agra Fort, an outstanding example of Mughal architecture. Agra Fort - the seat and the stronghold of the Mughal Empire under successive generations. Visit its Hall of Public Audience and its Royal Pavilions.
  • Overnight at the hotel

Day 4

Agra - Jhansi - Khajuraho

  • Upon arrival you will be driven to Khajuraho, home of the famed erotic stone-carved temples. Upon arrival check-in at hotel.
  • Although famous for erotic depictions, these form only a small part of the wealth of the site.
  • Khajuraho is not something that can be described in words - it has to be experienced.
  • In the afternoon proceed for sightseeing tour of Khajuraho visiting eastern and western group of Temples
  • The tour of Khajuraho to day concentrates on the famous erotic temples, which represent some of the finest examples of temple architecture in Northern India. Overnight at hotel

Day 5

Khajuraho - Bandhavghar

  • After breakfast, you will be driven to Bandhavgarh (275 Km / 6 hours).
  • Upon arrival, proceed for check-in at your hotel.
  • Lunch at the hotel
  • Afternoon hop on to your jeeps for Game viewing
  • Dinner & Overnight at the hotel
  • The tour of Khajuraho to day concentrates on the famous erotic temples, which represent some of the finest examples of temple architecture in Northern India.

Day 6

Bandhavghar

  • The reserve is named after the highest hill in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
  • Bandhavgarh has been an excellent habitat of tiger and is known for the highest density of tigers in the world. Considering the importance and potentiality of the National park, it was included in the Project Tiger Network in 1993.
  • During these drives you stand a very good chance of seeing the Lord of the Indian Jungle the tiger.
  • This magnificent striped cat was almost hunted down to extinction by 1970 after having numbered over 40,000 at the turn of the century.
  • Breakfast, lunch, dinner & overnight at the hotel.

Day 7

Bandhavghar - Kanha

  • After breakfast you will be driven to Kanha (265 Km / 6 hours). Upon arrival check-in at your hotel.
  • Lunch at the hotel
  • Rest of the day at leisure
  • Dinner & Overnight at the hotel

Day 8

Kanha

  • KANHA NATIONAL PARK and Tiger Reserve is considered one of Asia's finest protected areas and probably the best place in the world to see tigers in the wild.
  • Tracts of Kanha have been a wildlife sanctuary since 1933. In 1955, 318 sq km was declared a National Park and in 1973, 940 sqKms became one of the first nine Project Tiger Reserves.
  • Kanha was expanded in 1976 - the National Park now has a core area of 940 sq km and a buffer zone of 1005 sq km
  • Breakfast, lunch, dinner & overnight at the hotel

Day 9

Kanha - Nagpur - Mumbai

  • Early morning, proceed for yet another game viewing drive. Later you will proceed for breakfast.
  • After breakfast, you will be driven to Nagpur (197 Km / 4 hours).
  • Upon arrival at Nagpur, you will be transferred to the airport in time to board your flight for Mumbai.
  • Upon arrival at Mumbai airport, you will be transferred to the International Airport in time to board your flight back home.
